With the fully digital method LINK, the student works self-directed and in a natural flow towards a higher language level. The functional, task-oriented and recognizable content of this method stimulates the translation of learning into practical application of the language.
Many students experience their Dutch lessons as something that has nothing to do with their own lives. Outside the lessons, they speak little Dutch and there is little or no transfer to practice. Closing that gap was one of the main motives for creating LINK. The functional, task-oriented and recognizable content of this method stimulates the transfer from learning to practical application of the language.
LINK is structured according to the ABCD model, in which language learners are offered input and practice with it before moving on to production. Learners learn in a natural flow: through small steps, they are offered more and more words within a familiar theme. The reading and listening resources in the method are based on authentic topical and stimulating texts, adapted for the relevant language level. The sources and exercises work towards tasks, realistic speaking and writing assignments that are increasingly less guided.
LINK's online learning environment is user-friendly, intuitive and appealing, inviting further learning. All components are functional and recognizable. The method is “self-directed” as much as possible through simple and clearly worded instructions, translations of which are also available for the first three topics.
With LINK, you work interactively. Exercises are checked automatically. With the handy feedback tool, you and your students can easily exchange assignments and feedback. You can give your students both group and individual access to the course material. This allows you to arrange your own lessons and differentiate easily. You and your students know exactly where and how to get started and always have direct insight into their progress.
With LINK you have everything in one: in addition to a complete language course, the program contains tests, translations, a grammar tool, a pronunciation trainer, an internal messaging system and a KNM trainer. As a teacher, you have a special teacher's account where you can see the same things as your students, plus an extensive range of tips and teaching ideas. You do not need any additional material or tools. Still need an occasional offline lesson? With the (optional) paper LINK workbook all concluding tasks can also be done in class without a computer.
