On her thirteenth birthday, Anne Frank is given a diary. It is 12 June 1942, and Anne and her family go into hiding in Amsterdam. Anne writes in her diary as if she were writing letters to a friend. Each letter begins with: 'Dear Kitty'. Anne tells 'Kitty' about her dreams, doubts and desires. About her first kiss, and her ambition to become a writer. The diary ends on 1 August 1944. On that day, Anne, her family and the other people in hiding are discovered and captured.
This edition is especially for children aged 8 and up who do not read easily, but are interested in Anne Frank's story.
