In je kracht - Kaartspel

The In je kracht-kaartspel can be used alongside regular lessons or as part of one of the empowerment courses.

Empowerment is about discovering what you want, what you can already do and what you still need to develop further. The empowerment offer consists of three courses, individual assignments and the In je kracht-kaartspel. Working with these materials helps participants

• discover their dreams and goals
• take their future in their own hands
• become aware of their own talents
• gain insight into what they still can and want to learn
• find intrinsic motivation to develop further
• take the next steps with confidence
• prepare themselves to go back to work

The In je kracht-kaartspel consists of 60 cards. Each card has text on one side and a picture on the other. You can play four different games with the cards.

1. Introduction game: for this game you use the pictures.
2. Inspiration game: for this game you use the 20 cards with inspirational questions. These are white with a pink border.
3. Qualities game: for this game, you use the 20 cards with qualities. These are white with a gold border.
4. Choices game: for this game you use the 20 cards with choices. These are two-coloured with a white border.

This manual contains instructions for each game. They are written for use in a group, but the games can also be used in individual counselling. The In je kracht card game is part of the Empowerment Toolkit, available at www.taalvoorhetleven.nl/toolkitempowerment. This toolkit was developed within the pilot EVA of Taal voor het Leven.
