Module Arbeidsmarkt en Participatie (MAP)
The municipality is responsible for offering those obliged to integrate in the B1 route and the Self-reliance route a suitable place that matches their capacities, personal wishes and development possibilities. The municipality is also responsible for funding. Persons with a duty of integration who follow the Education Route are exempt from the MAP. This component is replaced by study career guidance. The MAP module consists of a practical element of at least 40 hours. Through this practical element, those obliged to integrate gain work experience in a language-rich environment. In addition, the following eight themes are covered:
- Vocational orientation
- Work competences
- Realistic professional image
- Professional opportunities
- Acquiring vocational competencies
- Building a network
- Finding a job
- Work culture
To successfully complete the MAP, the person obliged to integrate must complete the entire program within three years. You conduct a final interview with the municipality, which determines whether you have acquired sufficient knowledge and skills on the identified topics.
